Preamble

We, the Dental Technologists of Nigeria, by this Constitution do hereby establish the Association of Dental Technologists of Nigeria (ADTN) as the umbrella body for all Dental Technologists in Nigeria, with the aim of regulating, promoting, and advancing the practice of Dental Technology in Nigeria.

Part I: Establishment

1.1 The Association shall be known as the Association of Dental Technologists of Nigeria (hereinafter referred to as "the Association").

1.2 The Association shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal.

1.3 The Association may sue and be sued in its corporate name.

Part II: Objectives

The objectives of the Association shall be to:

1. Regulate the practice of Dental Technology in Nigeria.
2. Promote and advance education and training in Dental Technology.
3. Maintain a register of qualified Dental Technologists.
4. Set and enforce standards of professional conduct.
5. Promote research and development in Dental Technology.
6. Foster collaboration with national and international bodies.
7. Protect the interests of members of the Association.

Part III: Membership

3.1 Membership of the Association shall be open to all qualified Dental Technologists.

3.2 Categories of membership shall include:

• Fellow Member
• Full Member
• Associate Member
• Graduate Member
• Student Member

3.3 Rights and privileges of each membership category shall be as defined in the Bye-Laws.

Part IV: Governance

4.1 The governing body of the Association shall be the National Executive Council (NEC).

4.2 The NEC shall consist of:

• The President
• The Vice President
• The Secretary General
• The Treasurer
• Other elected officers as prescribed in the Bye-Laws
